The frames are laser cut, and only a few bucks. They come in oval or rectangular shapes. The large ones are $6.99 and the small ones are $2.99, but with the 40% coupon, they're even cheaper! Add some spray paint, and you've got a super cute frame (minus the glass of course).
I already had some spray paint - I went with a few white, and a couple different shades of blue. Reagan's room is lavender (Sherwin Williams Wisteria - AWESOME COLOR!), with some blue and green, so since I had a pale blue spray and an aqua one, I did a couple in those shades. But all white would have been cute too.
Then I picked up a few sheets of scrapbook paper (again, in those colors to match her decor), cut them to size, and taped them to the back. And I mean, taped them. Those suckers aren't going anywhere;). I flipped them over, and hot glued some binder clips that I already owned (thanks to my teaching days!), so I would have a way of attaching her art.
And that's it! Hang them with just a thin nail, and start adding some masterpieces!
I used the small ones for photographs. I thought that would be fun, as she gets older, and wants to change the pics. But for now, I just used one of my favorites of her dancing on the sand...
and snuggling her sister:)...
On the larger ones, I hung up some of her "schoolwork" ;)
And some fun stuff she's done around here, like her latest novel, "Thumbulena" (aka Thumbelina;)...
If you look very closely at the larger ones, you can see I had to use two sheets of scrapbook paper to fill the entire frame. So there is a line where the two meet, but it's not the end of the world. Plus, if there's a large picture on display, you won't even see it.
My little superhero was tickled when she saw her new Wall of Masterpieces!
I think these laser cut frames are so cute, I might just fill the entire wall!

LOVE this idea!!
Too cute! I just might have to copy your cool idea, so creative and simple!
Liz, I looooove this! If only I had a girl's room to decorate...
This is so adorable! I love it!!
I love this idea so much! Couldn't find them at Michaels...I'll keep looking though. Anyone know of an online solution too?
That is really cute!
Great idea! I think it would look fantastic over the whole wall.
I love this idea I am totally going to do it in a hallway of mine. I just found your blog it's awesome! Are you on Facebook or Pinterest? :) ~Mae
I love your use of the laser cut frames! I bought a couple of them at Michaels, I could not resist. And I did a very different kind of project with one of mine yesterday: http://takeyourvitaminc.blogspot.com/2012/03/this-week-i-did-collage-project-using.html
Love this idea. Bought some supplies and found the frames too. Wondering if I leave out the craft paper and let the wall show through how that might look. Funny enough I found your blog as I was searching for our paint colors to pin on our Pintrest fave 4 girlie room board. Our daughters have the same color walls, Wisteria!
LOVE this! i don't have any little girls but this will look GREAT in my office, as my little boys are always making me art to hang up and its getting a bit messy, LOL. this will be a beautiful solution :)
Adorable! I've picked those frames up in the store a thousand times and have been dreaming up ways to use them. Love your idea!
Aww, these are just plain adorable. My past projects were just sticks and wood that I happened to piece together, painted, and tried turning into art corner. It turned out as post-it bulletin place. Haha. With your ideas, I’ll have an art corner for my girls who would surely love these frames because they suit the color of their room. Nice job!
