Plastic Plate Wall
So I'd been pinning some lovely plate walls for a while now. The Lettered Cottage did one that I was DY-ING for. I shared it on my Facebook page, so you might have seen it. If not, you must check it out - it's gorge. I had JUST the wall in mind in my dining room to make a plate wall happen. I had managed to pick up a couple plates here and there for when it would all go down, but never really got around to it.
THEN. I see my friend Jocie's plastic plate wall on her blog, One Project Closer's The Better Half. Oh, and did I mention she used Command Strips?! Oh. My. Goodness. Easy peasy and super inexpensive. Number 867 that I love this girl. If you didn't see that plate wall, go check it out here. It's lovely. And brilliant. And plastic. And darn if you couldn't tell.
So I'm at Target a couple months ago (I know, SO unlike me to have things ready to go and not do it the second I get home. But I was waiting for us to get our rattan blinds and molding around the windows first, in case that might mess the distance from the window to the plates. But whatevs, I got impatient and went for it today anyway. I couldn't look at that Target bag on the office floor for one more minute without getting them up there. I can always move them, right?
And yes, I'm a total copycat on this one, but don't worry, I cleared it with Jocie. I think I said something like, "Um, seriously obsessed with your plastic plate wall. Am I totally crossing the blogging line by making one of my own?" She laughed and screamed "OF COURSE NOT CRAZY LADY." Or something like that.
Reason #868. ;)
So all I did was lay them out on the floor to get an idea what order to hang them.
